Courier Co-ordinator

About the role

This is a new role at Mapcargo, created to take ownership of our courier transport activity end to end.

You will be the person who makes sure domestic and international shipments move on time, with the right paperwork, and with customers kept properly informed. It is a hands on operational role that suits someone organised, calm under pressure and happy working across a mix of booking systems, customs documentation and the warehouse floor.

What you will be doing

Booking and dispatch

Arrange daily collections and deliveries with our approved courier providers
Book domestic and international shipments through courier portals
Produce shipping labels, customs documentation and delivery paperwork as required
Make sure all orders are packed and dispatched within agreed service levels

Tracking and customer communication

Monitor shipments in transit and resolve delivery issues or delays before they become problems
Keep customers and internal departments updated on delivery progress
Liaise with warehouse staff to prioritise urgent shipments

Warehouse and operational support

Assist with stock movement and general warehouse administration when required
Carry out lifting in line with manual handling guidelines

What we are looking for

Excellent communication and organisational skills
A mature and professional manner
Good computer literacy, including confidence picking up new booking systems and portals
The ability to work well in a target driven environment
Experience with courier or freight booking portals and customs documentation is useful, though we will train the right person
